Motown Showdown 2016 results and podium pics

After having to reschedule this years Motown Showdown due to rain we still managed to have an excellent turnout with 78 entries and 12 races. A few new face and some returning ones came out to make this years race another memorable one. We had racers from SoCal all the way to Sacramento, Sonora to the Bay join in on the fun. A giant congrats goes out to all this years winners. As always there was same amazing races with very close battles. The vibe was great all day and the program ran smooth thanks to Pickle keeping everyone on pace. The day got started at 10:20AM and the last main of the night finished at 8:41PM. The raffle was huge thanks to all our amazing sponsors. A big shout out goes out to camera man Jackie Jenkins. There are many people that helped make this event happen from the track crew that spent a lot of time building the new layout, Pickle, Doug, Jeff, Richard W, Cody, Mike, Tobias, John W., Gino, Steven, I know I’m forgetting a few but you are all appreciated. To everyone that helped cover and uncover the track the original scheduled weekend. Also thanks to Richard V. and crew for the great work on the new drivers stand step stools and signage. Thanks to Tobias for helping get Friday practice going when we couldn’t be there. Thanks to Monica, Melissa and Sarah for getting everyone signed up and putting on the raffle with Pickle. Thanks to Casey and Rob for running the tech department all day. Thanks to Tobias, Patrick and Matt for helping Pickle with the announcing. Lots of good people help make this event what it is and we thank you all but the biggest thanks goes out to all the racers, we have a great group, keep up the good work and racing!
