May 7th club race results (aka “Motown Slowdown”)
I would like to thank everyone that made this club race happen. This just goes to show you what a great group of racers we have and what they can do when they care enough to make it happen. You all managed to clear the track of all the water and the enormous tarp in about one hour. Not only that but you all pulled together to get some maintenance done as well as get the word out that we were having an impromptu, spurt of the moment club race. In appreciation of all your hard work this event was made free for everyone in attendance. 26 entries from out of no where is a success in my book. I cant thank you all enough for this, showing what a little good old fashion initiative and determination is all about. You are the ones that wont give up or give in, you are the ones that make MRCR so great. MRCR is truly fortunate to have you all. Thanks just isn’t enough to show the appreciation I have for all of you. Tobias, Jeff, Gino, Rod, Brenda, Mike, Micah, Rob, Paul, Steven, Tim, Richard, and anyone I may have missed, you are all heroes for making this happen. A special shout out to Tobias for stepping up and running the mic, you did great on this day sir. Another special shout out to Jeff for stepping up to be the water truck, thank you sir.
