2018 Big Event Schedule
This post is intended to be a brief summary of all our 2018 big events and series races consolidated into one post. Each event will get its own post/page as time gets nearer to each events date with specific details for each event.
Practice will continue to be on Friday nights at 6PM to 11:30PM. We will also be filling in the 2018 Calendar with club races very soon.
NOTICE: This post may be updated throughout the year so keep an eye on it.
Classes Structure For 2018
Novice
At MRCR, we will only offer 2wd Novice.
We will continue the implementation of a “bump out” rule. Starting January 1st, 2016 if a Novice driver wins first place 3 times (Consecutive and/or Non-consecutive) they will be bumped out of Novice and into their respective vehicle class. This rule is exempt from any series race however, but if a Novice driver wins a series race, that driver will automatically bump out of Novice.

- 2018 Birthday Race – Saturday April 14th, – Our 8th Birthday! $5 entries. Gates 9AM, racing 11AM
- 2018 Slash Championships – Saturday April 21st – gates open at 9am and racing at 11am. Fees:$20/$10 And Novice/kids $15. (Novice/kids, 2wd buggy, pro4, ebuggy lite, stadium truck, pro2 and 13.5 4wd buggy as well)
- Dirt Wars Series – Awards for 1st – 3rd place in all classes. Fees: $20/$10/$5 and Novice/kids $ To Be determined
- Round 1 – April 29th (Sun) @ Nor-Cal
- Round 2 – June 9th (Sat) @ Modesto
- Round 3 – June 23rd (Sat) @ Delta RC
- 2018 Motown Showdown – Saturday May 19th – Gates open at 7am, racing at 10am. Awards for 1st-3rd and TQ in all classes. 2 rounds of quals, single A-mains with bumps from lower mains. Fees: $30/$20/$10 and $25 for novice/kids.
- Memorial Day Race – Saturday May 26th – gates open at 1pm and racing at 3pm. Fees:$20/$10 And Novice/kids $15
- RC Nights 2018 Points Series – Saturday nights, gates open at 1PM, racing at 3PM. 6 rounds with 2 throwouts. +1 point for TQ. Double points final round. Awards for 1st – 5th place and kids 1st-10th. Fees: $20/$10 And Novice/kids $15.
- Round 1 – June 16th
- Round 2 – June 30th
- Round 3 – July 14th
- Round 4 – July 28th
- Round 5 – August 11th
- Round 6 – August 25th – x2 Points!
- Friday Night Points Series – Friday nights, gates open at 5PM, racing at 6:30PM. 6 rounds with 2 throwouts. +1 point for TQ. Double points final round. Awards for 1st – 3rd place in all classes. Fees: $20/$10 And Novice/kids $15.

- Labor Day Race – September 1st – gates open at 2PM, racing at 4PM. Fees: $20/$10 And Novice/kids $15.
- 2018 Widowmaker Points Series – Saturday nights, gates open at 2PM, racing at 4PM. 4 rounds, one throw out, double points final round. +1 point for TQ. Awards for 1st – 3rd in all classes. Fees: $20/$10 And Novice/kids $15.

- Round 2 – September 15th
- Round 3 – September 29th
- Round 4 – October 6th – x2 Points!
- Hotdog Classic 2018. October 13th, (Saturday) – Gates open at 9AM, racing at 11AM. Free hotdogs and soda. Awards for 1st – 3rd all classes. 2 rounds of quals, single A-mains with bumps from lower mains. Fees: $25/$15/$10 And $20 for novice/kids.
- Halloween Havoc – Saturday October 27th — gates open at 10am and racing at noon. Fees:$20/$10 And Novice/kids $15
- Cans for a Cause 2018 – November 3rd gates open at 10AM, racing at noon. Our yearly benefit race to help feed the hungry locally. Bring in a can get $1 off your race entry. Bring in 5 cans get $5 off….. bring in enough race for free! Fees: $20/$10 and Novice/kids $15.
- 2018 Enduro RAINED OUT- Saturday November 24th – (All classes)
- Hangover Race RAINED OUT– January 1st, 2019 – gates open at 9am and racing at 11am. Fees:$20/$10 And Novice/kids $15
