Submit your track layout ideas

Do you have an idea for a new track layout for MRCR? If you do MRCR wants to know about it.

We have an accurate, to scale , printable layout of the MRCR track outer perimeter. This layout was done with actual survey plotting equipment and when printed correctly is 1/16th scale. This means all you need is a standard ruler with inches on it to use the layout. 1 inch = 16 feet (scale:1″=16′), or 1/16th of an inch = 1 foot (scale:1/16″=1′). So for 10′ wide lanes you would have 5/8th of an inch.

Below is a image preview of the printable PDF. Do not print the image as its not to scale. This is just for reference so you get the idea before you download and print the PDF.

Attached to this post at the bottom you will be able to download the printable PDF. Once you have downloaded the file you might want to check your printer settings. To do this open the PDF with Adobe Reader and click the print button. Once at the print settings screen look for an option called “Page Scaling” and set it to “None”. When I originally printed the PDF I had it set at “Fit to printable area” which made the layout smaller and off by 1/16 which made me off by 1 foot.

If you have printed it correctly when you set you ruler on the scale printed on the layout just below the “North” indicator the white space between 0′ and 16′ will be exactly 1 inch. If this is too complicated to figure out, don’t worry about it.

Print this out, draw up your ideas, then snap a good bright picture of it or scan it and email it to inquiry@modestorc.com
