Hotdog Classic Podium Pics and Results
First and foremost a giant thank you goes out to our headline sponsor for this event RCJuice.com (http://www.rcjuice.com) for the amazing support of this event for the second year in a row. With their help we have created a fun and competitive event for all the “Hotdog” racers in Norcal. We had racers from Fresno, Sonora, Merced, Tracy, Modesto and many other places throughout the valley descend upon MRCR to stake their claim as the Hotdog Champion. Funworks and MRCR teamed up to provide all our racers with free hotdogs, as many as you could want! There was also plenty of free sodas for all provided by MRCR.
The weather was perfect on this Fall day, not too hot and a slight breeze along with clear blue skies was very enjoyable. The racing got underway shortly after 11am after Pickles drivers meeting. The program ran quick as we had 3 heats and mains to get through. Many people stepped up to help make the day run smooth. An enormous THANKS goes out to Jeff A. for standing in as the water truck for this day with Doug’s absence. Jeff kept the track nice and tacky for us all day. Equally appreciated is all the help with Announcing from racers Tobias, Saul, Jeff and Connor.
After the heat races were over RCJuice put on an amazing raffle giving away batteries, chargers, tools, shirts, ESC’s and much more. Many people came away with some very nice prizes and for this we cant thank RCJuice enough. The Mains came and the racing got fierce especially in the 4wd SCT class that had one very spectacular finish. RCJuice once again stepped up to make this event even better after the mains were all said and done and awards and podium pics were being given out, RCJuice provided the top 3 winners in every class with $25, $15 and $10 gift certificates to use at their online store.
