MRCR and Cen Cal Hobbies are teaming up to get new racers interested in RC Racing. We will be having these “Fun Runs” where we can work them in from time to time. Cen Cal Hobbies has some new racers that would like to come out to our track and get their feet wet in the RC Racing scene. This will mostly be a practice event with a few mock races thrown in so the rookies can get a feel for what RC racing is really like. Even though this is a Cen Cal Hobby promoted event its open to anyone that is a ROAR member. So if you’re free, how about coming out and getting some practice in, on the Modesto RC Raceway outdoor track.

If you aren’t currently a ROAR member you can sign up at the track. Its $35 a year and is good for one year from the date you sign up. If you sign up at the track you get your first practice for free. With your ROAR membership you get 10% off anything inside Funworks from rides to food and drinks. Practice fees for this and all practice nights are only $5 for the whole time we are open.

Saturday nights, gates open at 1PM, racing at 3PM. 6 rounds with 2 throwouts. +1 point for TQ. Double points final round. Awards for 1st – 5th place and kids 1st-10th. Fees: $20/$10 And Novice/kids $15.

• Round 4 – July 28th
• Round 5 – August 11th
• Round 6 – August 25th – x2 Points!

Practice is an event practice for the Hot Dog Classic. It is free to practice but you must sign up for at least one class to be able to practice. Roar membership required.
