John Highfill is building the Anza kit. Interested to see it in action when he gets done. I think that like the slice kits it will only be good in mod. Because of the weight.

What slipper and spur gear do you think will be the best to modify for the pro-line transmission? The associated one would probably be the easiest to get.

so much money for all this stuff. You could just sell it and buy any other sct.

80-100 just to go lcg after all the parts then another 100 for the tranny. To much man. My slash is staying slash like

Since its for Ella that's probably the best idea anyway.

My mission with the Slash was never to make it a high bred race truck from the get go. Its been nearly a 3 year project to get it to this point, so not a huge investment upfront. The other LCG Slash I got off RCTech already setup with everything for under $200 with a butt load of tires.

Its also just a fun project truck for me..... challenging to see what it takes to make it raceable.

The Slash is a great beginner/basher truck stock out of the box for someone new to RC that wants a tough reliable truck to bash around the neighborhood and maybe do some racing too. Modesto hobby stocks everything for it also, which they don't for the "other" SCT's.

However if someone is in the market for a race truck ONLY and maybe already has some experience driving you might want to look at something other then the Slash. Unless you get lucky like I did and find an already decked out LCG Slash on RCTech.

Hey Chris, I do have most of the STRC LCG parts from before I upgraded to the light weight kit and Marcus told me a long time ago that he had a Rustler chassis. If he still has it wouldn't take much work/money to LCG your (Ella's) Slash. Only thing I don't have from the kit for you would be the bottom backing plate and spacers. Would assume there could be made up some how pretty easily.

Yeah I kinda thought the same. I too bought the stealth for my RC10 when it first came out but do you remember before that everyone ran the MIP transmission?

Here is part 3 of the Pro-Line Transmission. They say its suppose to come out this week.

Here is a cool option part, carbon fiber top plate with aluminum servo posts. Looks pretty cool. Bell crank posts are aluminum also, much stiffer and possibly more solid feel with this? Would add a little weight to the front which the LCG Slash kinda needs anyway.

Just read this on RPMs site.
Tech Notes: RPM #80712 Caster Blocks replace Traxxas stock #3632 Caster Blocks. RPM Caster Blocks retain stock Rustler & Stampede 30 degree caster settings. Stock Bandit caster is 25 degrees. These blocks can be used on the Bandit but will alter stock Bandit caster settings. These Caster Blocks will not work on nitro versions of the Rustler & Stampede.

http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/products/traxxas/Slash2.htm

Does that mean that you could use Bandit stock caster blocks to get 25 degrees on the slash?

The ones I find on A-Main are listed as 30 degree

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_25_1466_734/products_id/49949/n/Traxxas-30-Caster-Block-Set

Edit: found caster blocks, steering blocks and kingpins that were removed from a bandit on Ebay for under $5. They should be here in a few days and I will see if they fit.
